Wall-Mounted Units

These space-saving solutions can be placed strategically at eye level, ideal for areas where full-body decontamination isn’t the primary concern, but eye and face-washing facilities are essential.

Pedestal-Mounted Units

These freestanding units can be positioned anywhere with appropriate plumbing access, offering greater flexibility in placement compared to wall-mounted units.

Compact and easy to install, deck-mounted emergency eyewash stations can be mounted directly on workbenches or countertops. This makes them perfect for immediate access in controlled work environments.

Portable Units

Our portable, self-contained emergency shower and eyewash stations feature their own water supply, with 56.7837.9 litres of usable capacity, perfect for areas without plumbed water or used as supplementary emergency equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are emergency shower and eyewash stations required?

They are required in workplaces where corrosive or caustic chemicals with a pH less than 2.0 or greater than 11.5 are handled or stored. For example, in labs, industrial settings, medical facilities, workshops, or manufacturing areas where hazardous material exposure to employees may cause injury to the eyes or body.

Where should they be located?

Your emergency shower station should be located in well-lit areas with clear, visible signage, within 10 seconds of travel time, on the same level as the hazard, and with no obstructions in the path.

How do you use an emergency eyewash and shower station?

Position your face directly over the spray heads, close enough for the flushing fluid to reach both eyes simultaneously. Hold your eyelids open with your fingers to ensure the water reaches all parts of the eye, and roll your eyeballs around to help flush all areas.

Continue flushing for at least 15 minutes. If you"re wearing contact lenses, remove them as soon as possible after starting to flush. After flushing, seek immediate medical attention.

What training is required?

All employees who might be exposed to hazardous materials in their work area should receive proper training on the location and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), identifying and accessing stations, operating the equipment, proper use of emergency eyewash and showers, and emergency and documentation procedures.

This also includes training on related safety equipment, such as fuel spill kits in NZ, to ensure comprehensive hazard response preparedness.
